School Counselor

Hello Lopez Huskies,

My name is Ms. Burroughs and I am the School Counselor here at Lopez Elementary! I have had the privilege of working with Lopez students for two years. My passion is helping students grow in their social/ emotional, academic and college/career journey. As a school counselor, I have the opportunity to advocate for my students.

My professional background includes being a teacher for ten years. After earning my Masters in School Counseling, I worked in all grade levels including elementary, middle and high school. I love making students smile and am grateful to be working as a school counselor at Lopez Elementary.

When I am not helping students, I enjoy spending time with my family and our dog Stewy!  I love to travel, paddleboard, cook, hike, read and spend time with friends.
