Pomona Unified Students Shine at CABE 2025 with Cultural Performances
Long Beach, CA – March 2025 – This week, teachers and students from the Pomona Unified School District (PUSD) are actively participating in the California Association for Bilingual Education (CABE) 2025 Conference, an event dedicated to promoting equity and excellence in bilingual education.
As a special highlight of the conference, elementary students from PUSD, along with the Galan Cultural Center’s Zapateando Folklorico Group, took the stage for a vibrant and energetic performance celebrating cultural heritage through traditional dance. Adding to the excitement, the Garey High School Lion and Dragon Dance Club also delivered a stunning performance, showcasing the rich traditions of their art.
CABE provides a valuable opportunity for PUSD educators and students to engage in workshops, leadership activities, and networking sessions focused on language acquisition and inclusive teaching strategies. The conference reinforces the importance of bilingualism and biliteracy, preparing students to thrive in a diverse and global society.
Our students and educators are thrilled to be part of this inspiring experience! The insights gained at CABE 2025 will continue to shape PUSD’s commitment to multilingual learning and celebrating cultural diversity.
